Meet Dr. Steven Reese

Dr. Steven Reese, the practice owner, is a retired Colonel who served in both the Navy and the Air Force. He has more than 20 years of experience as an orthodontist and is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment only 30 percent of orthodontic specialists have attained. He is caring and family-oriented, loves practicing orthodontics, and wants his patients to have a great orthodontic experience, whether that is with clear aligners or traditional braces and appliances.

Dr. Reese received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After completing a General Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital San Diego, he spent three years as a general dentist, proudly serving with Marines in Okinawa, Japan. He attained his master’s degree (MSD) from Indiana University where he specialized in orthodontics.

Dr. Reese has a broad area of expertise working with children, adolescents, and adults. He has served as a staff member for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and as the Commander of the Dental Squadron at Langley AFB. Dr. Reese has interacted with many surgeons and specialists, keeping current with the latest technology and continuing education. He is also well trained in growth modification for children, adult pre-restorative treatment, and orthognathic surgery should those options be indicated. He stays current with the latest advancements with aligner therapy in both Invisalign® and SureSmile®.

Dr. Reese loves what he does because of the positive impact that improving a smile or facial aesthetics can have on one’s self-image. Having six children of his own, and four grandchildren, he is very aware of the importance of your time. Being practical, quality focused, and with high ethical standards, he lives by the philosophy that the treatment he recommends, he would also recommend to someone in his own family.

Dr. Reese and his family have been very involved in the local community for the past 15 years. He and his family enjoy sports, outdoor activities, traveling, and getaways to the beach.
